What's going on? / Miriam: Nothing. I'm in Oceanic City, and these guys were saying Arch City would be a good bet if *you* had a good year, so I thought I'd get the straight dope from you. / [[The scene now shows Walter on the golf course.]] / Walter: Oh, Miriam... I hope you didn't put too much money on us. It's a long season, and anything can happen in baseball. / [[Now it is back to Miriam in the casino,with Walter's voice coming through the phone.]] / Miriam: Apparently. When you showed up at that game a lot of emotions that had been buried for a long time were unearthed. / Miriam: So? / [[Now it is back to Miriam, who is holding up a shirt with both hands, propping the cell phone on her shoulder and she looks really surprised. Walter's voice comes through her cell phone.]] / Walter: Well, I eventually figured out that I felt really guilty about what I had done to you, and in the meantime my concentration was shot. It really messed me up. / Miriam: Wow, really? / [[Miriam has a big wide-eyed grin on her face, holding the phone, the shirt forgotten. Both are holding their cigarettes.]] / Smoker Guy: See, the thing I hate about this place is that if the girls are already drinking for free, I can't offer to buy them a drink. / [[Miriam leans her head back, looking skyward, while Smoker Guy looks downward in frustration, bringing the cigarette to his mouth.]] / Smoker Guy: Plus, *you* get in for free, and we have to *pay* to get in, *plus* pay for our drinks.
