The bead monsters will fight until one of them turns back into a bead. Then, if it's Erathunes - that's what the magician called the green one - you need to grab the bead as fast as you can. / Kristi: What if it's Preschal instead? / Tipko: Well, then it doesn't matter since I was only able to bring one bead. You get one chance. / Kristi: So? what will the magician do if Preschal loses? / Tipko: Well, first he'll probably make Erathunes kill you so you can't get another bead somehow and try again. Then he'll probably obliterate this suburb so no one else who picked up the ability to activate beads can stand against him, and then he'll take over the world, although your militaries will probably try to stop him before they notice that bead monsters are immune to mundane weaponry. / Tipko: The casualties will number in the billions, and - why are you looking at me like that?

Hi to Tsuki to Hoshi no Tama #17 Tipko: Both of you, stop it. You two, like it or not, are the only bead users until we capture a diamond and I can find someone to use it. I'm not saying you two have to like each other, but it would help if you could be civil. We stand a much better chance of acquiring new beads and not losing the two we have if you fight as a team, which is going to be difficult unless you can stick together most of the time in case of a magician attack. / Kristi: I don't see why. Erathun?s is obviously a pretty pathetic bead; Preschal defeated it in one hit and without getting a scratch. I doubt having Rowan along is going to improve my chances much. / Tipko: Kristi, you're jumping to conclusions! One battle tells you very little about how strong a bead is. Yes, Preschal will consistently beat Erathun?s when it can force ranged combat ... / Tipko: But in close quarters or against another flying bead Preschal would have lost. / Tipko: Even if that weren't the case, the two of you working as a group have another advantage - you can both have a bead out at the same time. A single magician can only have a single bead out at any time, which means yours can gang up on theirs - and hold your own if the magicians start working together too. Two of you also means twice as many chances to capture or retain a bead monster that's been defeated. So you need to forget about whatever your issues are and work together! Clear?
