Triangle and Robert #2401 Cartoonist! / If this is about your line mix-up last strip, I kept it like that because it fit the topic for me to screw it up. / Why should I believe that? / Because it might be true. No reason other than that. / Okay. Next question. / Can we do a seance? / I can't yet come up with a reason why not. / That was the least yes I've heard in a long time.
Triangle and Robert #2402 Is just the two of us enough for a seance? / Be quiet. I'm connecting. / I'm about to channel something. SHREEEEEEEEEee..... reeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE... AAAAAAAAAA... reeEEEEEEEEEE.... beep beep beep beep beep... / Did I say anything useful? / It was a fax machine again.
Triangle and Robert #2403 If our seance attempts keep getting fax machines, maybe the problem isn't on our end. Maybe there's just a fax machine in the afterlife. / It's a USB crystal ball, maybe we should try plugging in an external faxmodem? / It's not a USB crystal ball. / I thought the manual said... / The manual is for a completely different model. Look at it! This ball doesn't even have a heatsink.
Triangle and Robert #2404 We could call technical support... / Robert, is that manual even for a crystal ball? / What else could it be for? / A crystal router. A crystal photo printer. A crystal radio tuner. A crystal MIDI adaptor. / Put it away and get me the phone. I have another idea. / Calling out for tacos?
Triangle and Robert #2405 I'm about to channel. Dial now! / I still don't get why... okay. Dialed. / RaaaEEEEE, raaaEEEEEee, SQUEEEEEEEEEE, wonk wonk wonk wonk SQUEEEEEEE ssss / Oh! That's what that number was! We're calling our own fax machine! / It's printing. Keep channeling! / KRAAerKEKEGEGEKEboooo deeEEEEE [inaudible ultrasonic] gwehgwehBAAAA / Good, good... cover sheet's done.

Triangle and Robert #2406 Triangle? Are you done channeling? Are you conscious? Should I read the fax? / ...yes, no, and why not, in that order. / Wait, did I ask three questions of four? Does "Triangle?" constitute a question needing an answer? Actually, the "..." could count as the answer anyway. That works.
Triangle and Robert #2407 The fax is a picture of Mr. Disease's spirit trying to work the spirit of a fax machine. My mind balks at the implications of this message. / My mind also balks at the little blue crystals in cat litter and the countability of the rational numbers, so that's not necessarily a signifier. / Yes, I know there's a simple mapping to the integers. Intellectually, I accept they're countably infinite. I just don't feel it. Yay, I sidetracked myself!
Triangle and Robert #2408 Triangle, are you awake? / I'm fine now. / I found a new proof mapping the little blue crystals in cat litter to the prime numbers. / Either I was out longer than I thought and a significant amount of adventure happened without me or that is a complete non sequitur. / I forget which. / Just give me the fax.
Triangle and Robert #2409 He's dead, he's trying to reach us, he doesn't have a voice line, and the ghost of a dead fax machine is too complicated for him to operate. / Does any of that make sense? / That would ultimately depend on what you mean by sense. But... no, it basically doesn't. / That makes it your job to solve. / We need an unconsecrated burial ground and a cell phone with big buttons. / Easy.
Triangle and Robert #2410 One good thing about unconsecrated burial grounds: they usually don't have anyone to chase you away. / Yes. That was the easiest abuse of a graveyard we've ever committed. May I ask how we can be sure Mr. Disease will get the ghost phone? / I put a signature confirmation sticker on it. / I'll assume that makes sense to you and move on.

Triangle and Robert #2411 Robert, stop fooling with the crystal ball. It contains no user-serviceable parts. / How can we know if we don't try? / It is in any event not in need of servicing. Please put it gently back on the table and concentrate. / What table? / You know very well what table. Just because it isn't drawn doesn't mean you don't know what I'm talking about. / I'm sorry.
Triangle and Robert #2412 I'm about to channel. Again. / Is it safe to channel whilst peeved? / Why did you have to say "whilst"? Now I'm thinking about your word choice and my concentration is broken. / I need a reason? / I don't remember you ever using that word before. / So it distracted you. / That's what I said. / So you're not peeved. / I'm peeved differently now.
Triangle and Robert #2413 I'm calmed down now. Let's do this seance. / You're not calm, you've just gone from angry to anxious. / Why must you always choose the least opportune moments to be perceptive? / Comedy! / Robert... I don't think this is a comedy. / I know that, but following the rules of comedy helps accentuate the horror of our existence.
Triangle and Robert #2414 Ready now? / Ready. / I'm making contact. I hear him! He wants something. He wants us to do something. To leave something for him. Some sort of... message for him? / This joke has been stretched far enough. / PICK UP! IT'S ME, TRIANGLE!
Triangle and Robert #2415 Triangle... can you hear me... / Yes. We can hear you, Mr. Disease. / What's he saying? / My restaurant... is it still standing... / The Locust Garden continues to do business. / Then it was not in vain... / Mr. Disease, we're going to try to resurrect you. Can you tell us where your body is, and do you have any suggestions for a method? / click / What? Hello?

Triangle and Robert #2416 Maybe the stars are just wrong, or something. These seance attempts just aren't working properly today. / The stars matter? / What? Sometimes, yes. / Beta Tapiocus is probably breaking astrology. / That's a good point. How can we compensate? / From what little I know of astrology, / I'll give you time to think about it.
Triangle and Robert #2417 Maybe we just shouldn't bother with a seance. We know he's dead and in the default afterlife, let's cut ahead to resurrection. / I was hoping to get a body. Non-body ones seem harder. / Then let's find it. We don't need a seance for that. / I have an idea. Let's visit the Locust Garden. / He once told us the spirit of his grandmother was in a statue there. That doesn't help us directly, but it might not be the only spirit-related thing.
Triangle and Robert #2418 You are not to enter the kitchen. / Do you know who I am? / Yes, Triangle. Your assistance is not required. / Mr. Disease fell in battle. / Yes. Your assistance is not required. Please leave. / We were friends. I would like an explanation, at least. / Understandable. The best thing you can do is still to leave. / Out of respect for this restaurant, I will do so, but this is not over.
Triangle and Robert #2419 The current restaurant manager is a warrior-chef in Mr. Disease's tradition. He doesn't want us to resurrect Mr. Disease. / Is the object of that sentence "us" or "to resurrect"? / You're being observant of details. Isn't that a bad thing for how you work? / I could have just been asking a random sentence-diagramming question. / No, it was pretty clear you were asking whether it was the resurrection or us doing it that was the issue.
Triangle and Robert #2420 I need something to distract me. Important things are going on, and I can do the most good if I stay away from them and then re-enter the main plot at the last moment. / Usually you tag along and just ignore the important things going on around you. / I'm finding this part too important to ignore. / I might be growing up or something horribly inconvenient like that. So, I need a hobby! / That's an awfully logical way to get yourself sidetracked.

Triangle and Robert #2421 Fishing seems like a simple enough hobby... / [[Robert fishes]] / Wait a minute. I hate simplicity!
Triangle and Robert #2422 Knitting, boring. Sculpting, boring. Painting, boring. / Maybe I should try boring! Triangle! Do we have a drill I can use? / What happened to the last one? / It's covered in paint and yarn.
Triangle and Robert #2423 Uh... / I was just going to drill holes in stuff for fun. I didn't expect to deal with all these blocks and matching and responsibility. / My cord doesn't even reach this far down. Can I get a do-over?
Triangle and Robert #2424 I'm not going to ask why half the shopping district is now twenty feet below the other half. I'm just glad you stopped whatever it was you were doing before magma got involved. / Or pudding, or whatever liquid stratum happened to be below that particular area. The point is, we don't have to worry about any further consequences from this. / I hope I didn't just set off a self-denying prophecy again. / I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. Anyway, how do you make liquid nitrogen?
Triangle and Robert #2425 No. Next hobby. / Is there a local drama troupe without orders to shoot me on sight? / Was that literal or hyperbolic? / Sort of.. parabolic. Or is that needlessly elliptic? / Ow! I totally deserved that!

Triangle and Robert #2426 You could try drawing a comic. / You're joking. / Yes. I am. / That idea is too dangerous to be dangerous enough for me to attempt. / I'm not sure how to formulate the obvious manner in which that sentence was self-contradictory. / My next hobby shall be extreme grammar! / No it shan't. / Shan'tn't.
Triangle and Robert #2427 ...up with which I will not put up with. / Robert! Stop! / That last abuse of grammar caused pain. / 'Twas not my intent to indend no causation of said pain. / Not my pain. You're hurting something else. / Lingering shades of the Third Race! / Was that a hypothesis or an interjection? / Hypoject- did you just hear a scream?
Triangle and Robert #2428 Whatever it is you hurt when you torture grammar, I think the right thing to do is stop. / I agree. / Unless we can be sure it's an animal, I'm not comfortable comically abusing it. / Your logic is grossly perverse. / But my syntax is okay, and that's the issue right now. / !
Triangle and Robert #2429 Restoring vintage pinball machines? Isn't that something that requires specific skills and practice? / I'm choosing to ignore that. / Waiting for Robert to randomly accidentally crack this restaurant mystery isn't enough. I need to investigate. / Was that a thought bubble? You don't use those much. / Go restore your pinball machines. Don't worry about me.
Triangle and Robert #2430 I am honor-bound not to interfere with the Locust Garden itself, but I need to know what that new manager is up to. He's not just a random chef, he clearly trained with Mr. Disease and is aware of Mr. Disease's role as a Sentry. / Trained with a Sentry... wanting control over when and if that Sentry comes back from the dead... It could be a succession thing! If he wants to be the new Metamorphic Sentry, and thinks he's next in line... but each Sentry post is passed down differently. / Mr. Disease was the first Metamorphic Sentry, so what determines who's next? Perhaps he has to CHOOSE a successor from beyond the grave, and his spirit is being held captive until he does! I might be jumping to conclusions, but this seems far too plausible.
