Strewth! by Josh Way - Chapter One: Page One {{CHAPTER HEADING: Strewth! Chapter One: A Disagreeable Turn of Fortune}} / [[JONATHAN is resting peacefully beneath a tree when CONRAD runs by, startling him.]] / CONRAD: Hi, Jonathan! Can't talk! Hi-speed chase! / JONATHAN: Hey, Conrad, are you in pursuit? / CONRAD: Whattaya mean? / JONATHAN: I mean, are you the one chasin', or are you the one runnin' away? / [[CONRAD thinks for a moment and becomes perplexed]] / CONRAD: I don't remember! Is that going to be important? / JONATHAN: Perhaps / [[JONATHAN starts running with CONRAD]]
Strewth! by Josh Way - Chapter One: Page Two [[JONATHAN tries to keep up with CONRAD as he races through the forest on a mission.]] / JONATHAN: Can you at least tell me what happened? / CONRAD: I was havin' dinner, and he just TOOK IT! / JONATHAN: Who took WHAT? / CONRAD: A gremlin! A gremlin took my SANDWICH! / JONATHAN: Are you sure about that? / CONRAD: YES! And now he's gettin' AWAY! / [[JONATHAN steps in front of CONRAD, stopping him.]] / CONRAD: Hey, what GIVES? / JONATHAN: Conrad, there's no such THING as GREMLINS! / CONRAD: Oh really? Then who stole my sandwich, a GNOME?! / JONATHAN: Look, I don't know. Let's just go-- / [[A loud noise startles them both.]] KRITCH! / JONATHAN: Now just hold on a minute. That noise could have been ANYTHING. / CONRAD: Sounded like a GRABBY GREMLIN to me!

Strewth! by Josh Way - Chapter One: Page Three [[JONATHAN and CONRAD are still running through the forest.]] / JONATHAN: We're getting deeper into the woods. Maybe we should turn back. / JONATHAN: Besides, Conrad, whoever that was, they've probably EATEN your sandwich already. / CONRAD: DON'T TALK THAT WAY!! / JONATHAN: It's getting DARK, Conrad. I don't like this! / CONRAD: I SEE HIM! / CONRAD: This way! / JONATHAN: Look, there's a CLEARING ahead! / [[JONATHAN and CONRAD peek through a hole in the foliage.]] / [[JONATHAN and CONRAD stand in front of a shack.]] / CONRAD: That's a GREMLIN HOUSE if I ever saw one. / JONATHAN: You didn't.
Strewth! by Josh Way - Chapter One: Page Four [[JONATHAN and CONRAD stand in front of a shack deep in the forest.]] / JONATHAN: This isn't a gremlin house. I think this is where OLD MAN TANNER lives! We should go home. / [[CONRAD opens the front door.]] / Aw, don't be so SCARED. Look, the door is WIDE OPEN! / [[JONATHAN signals CONRAD to come back as he enters the shack.]] / JONATHAN: Conrad, WAIT! This is TRESPASSING! / CONRAD: Shhh! / [[CONRAD raises his wings in preparation to catch something.]] / CONRAD: I think I see something over by the... / [[CONRAD somehow manages to reach with his wings through a closed window, breaking it in the process.]] / <> / CONRAD: WINDOW! / CONRAD: I GOT HIM! / [[The window is shown from the outside and we see that CONRAD is holding a very grumpy-looking frog.]]
Strewth! by Josh Way - Chapter One: Page Five [[JONATHAN and CONRAD are standing in the forest. CONRAD is holding a FROG.]] / CONRAD: Look at him! He's a CUTE little gremlin, isn't he? / FROG: If you do not release me immediately, I will have no choice but to defend myself. / JONATHAN: He's not a gremlin, he's just a little FROG! / CONRAD: He's a silly little guy. I LIKE him! / FROG: I have powerful friends. You will regret mistreating me. / JONATHAN: Hey, weren't you just CHASING HIM because he stole from you? / CONRAD: I wonder what his name is? I bet it's "FROGGY!" / FROG: My name is BOOTHE, and I will make certain that you do not forget it. / JONATHAN: Boothe, did you STEAL Conrad's sandwich? / CONRAD: Oh yeah, what happened to that sandwich? / BOOTHE: PREPOSTEROUS. I was minding my own business when this OAF charged at me, bellowing about some misplaced food item. / JONATHAN: Then just WHAT were you doing in Mr. Tanner's house?! / CONRAD: Wonder if he owns or rents? / BOOTHE: What do you suppose I was doing? HIDING FROM THE BIRD, of course. / JONATHAN: We better get out of here before he comes home and sees that BUSTED WINDOW! / [[OLD MAN TANNER suddenly shows up holding a rifle.]] / OLD MAN TANNER: Too late, PUNKS!
Strewth! by Josh Way - Chapter One: Page Six [[OLD MAN TANNER is holding JONATHAN, CONRAD, and BOOTHE at gunpoint as they stand in front of his shack.]] / OLD MAN TANNER: Wanna tell me what yer doin' on my PROPERTY, bustin' my things? / CONRAD: I caught a FROG! / JONATHAN: Mr. Tanner, we're VERY sorry! We'll pay for that window, I PROMISE! / BOOTHE: Sir, I caught these two THIEVES breaking into your home, and was HOLDING them here until your return! / OLD MAN TANNER: Now why don't I believe THAT?! / [[BOOTHE approaches OLD MAN TANNER.]] / BOOTHE: My good man, I understand your trepidation, but perhaps if we went inside and sat down... / OLD MAN TANNER: YOU GET BACK IN LINE, JUMPY! None a-ya moves! / [[BOOTHE offers OLD MAN TANNER a sandwich that he pulled from god-knows-where.]] / BOOTHE: You, er... / BOOTHE: You must be HUNGRY, Mr. Tanner! How about a delicious SANDWICH? / CONRAD: Check it out! Froggy scored a SAMMICH! / JONATHAN: HEY!! / OLD MAN TANNER: Tryin' ta BRIBE ME, eh? Well, that does it. Get movin', and NO FUNNY BUSINESS!! / [[JONATHAN, CONRAD, and BOOTHE walk with raised arms, wings, whatever as OLD MAN TANNER stays right behind them, still pointing his rifle at them.]]
Strewth! by Josh Way - Chapter One: Page Seven [[An outside shot of the jailhouse.]] / The next morning... / Conrad: Let's go around the room and share something about ourselves. I'll go first. My name's Conrad, and I recently learned that I'm a gifted frog catcher! Who's next? / [[Inside of the jail cell, Jonathan is looking out holding on to the bars. Conrad is seated looking at two other prisoners seated beside him.]] / Jonathan: I don't think they're in the mood to chat, Conrad. / [[A close-up of Jonathan.]] / Jonathan: I can't believe we're in jail! What are we gonna do?! / [[Jonathan turns to Conrad.]] / Jonathan: Did you at least learn a lesson through all of this, Conrad? / Conrad: You bet I did! / [[Conrad looks up, as if to reflect on his lesson.]] / Conrad: The next time I go frog catchin', I'm wearing gloves. Those things are kinda slimy! / [[Outside of the jail cell, the corner of a desk can be seen. On the desk is a jar with Boothe inside of it, with a note that reads "Prisoner, do not release" attached to the side.]] / Boothe: Oh, that is just lovely coming from you, bird.
