| GPF Archive: Monday, February 20, 2012 | [[The bearded janitor surreptitiously enters a supply closet. In the background two police officers appear to be deep in conversation, their backs turned to the janitor and the reader.]] / [[Inside the closet the janitor pushes his mop and bucket to one side, then takes something off a nearby shelf. There is a sink in the foreground.]]
/ Janitor: Welp, ain't no time like th' present. Might as well get this chore over with. / [[He unrolls the bundle to reveal a pair of scissors, a disposable razor, a can of shaving cream, and a gun.]]
/ Janitor: Got no plan. Haven't had one fer... how many years now? Been wingin' it ever since. But there's my ticket out o' here, lyin' right in front o' me. Gotta grab it an' see where it leads.
/ [[He opens the bundle, revealing (from left to right) a pair of scissors, a screwlike object, a small bottle (or perhaps flashlight), and a miniature gun.]] / [[He faces the mirror and we peer over his shoulder as he begins to cut his beard with the scissors.]]
/ Janitor: An' gotta drop this dang accent. Not sure where it came from, but it's served it's purpose. Ain't gonna fly if'n I'm gonna make this scheme work. http://www.gpf-comics.com/d/20120220.html |

| General Protection Fault--The Comic Strip | [[Officer Stone holds Nick's I.V. in one hand, hypodermic needle in the other]]
/ Stone: Just a tiny prick to your IV, and you'll never have to worry about anything ever again...
/ Janitor: Stop right there. / [[Janitor is shown as a shadowy figure holding a revolver pointed at Stone]]
/ Janitor: Well, well. Of all the suspects drifting in and out of here, I never pegged YOU as the "Lakatos Killer", Stone.
/ Stone: The Janitor. You have no idea what you're interrupting. / Janitor: I know you're about to kill this man which isn't a very law abiding thing to do. And I can't let you do that.
/ Stone: How noble. Living up to your good Samaritan image? / [[Cloaked in shadow, the janitor aims his revolver directly at the reader.]]
/ Janitor: Hardly. Nobody gets to kill Nick Wellington except for ME. http://www.gpf-comics.com/d/20120227.html |

| GPF Archive: Friday, March 2, 2012 | [[Emperor Nicholas (Nega-Nick) aims a revolver at Lieutenant Stone. A hospital cart is parked between them.]]
/ Stone: What sort of trickery is this?
/ Nega-Nick: [Grinning maniacally] Oh, it's long, complicated, and involves alternate realities and all sorts of fun mad science-y stuff. / [[Nega-Nick levels the gun at Stone. Stone smirks as he responds.]]
/ Nega-Nick: But that's a story for another day. Step away from my "friend".
/ Stone: Or you'll what? Shoot me? And bring dozens of cops down on you in an instant? / [[The view narrows on the pair's eyes as Nega-Nick and Stone stare each other down.]]
/ Stone: No. My guess is that you planned to kill Wellington quietly, dispose of his body, and take his place. Something requiring stealth, deception, and absolutely no gun play. Something you were ill prepared and ill equipped for. An unexpected opportunity perhaps? / [[Stone holds up the hypodermic needle in one hand as he shoves the cart into Nega-Nick's stomach.]]

| GPF Archive: Friday, March 9, 2012 | [[Lieutenant Stone falls to his knees, sweating profusely. He clutches the needle piercing his shoulder]]
/ [[Nega-Nick's shadow (on the wall) looks horrified at a blob shape leaping toward him]] / [[Stone continues collapsing]]
/ [[Nega-Nick's shadow (still on the wall) appears to be attempting to pull something from his neck]] / [[Stone falls to the ground]]
/ [[Nega-Nick's shadow seems to be choking]] / [[Stone remains motionless. A dark liquid oozes from his neck.]]

| General Protection Fault--The Comic Strip | [[GPF Software, Tim's office. Scott, Tim, and Sharon sit in a small semicircle, continuing their conversation.]]
/ Sharon: You don't REALLY think a Brotherhood civil war will destroy the world, do you?
/ Scott: Not what is physical and outside cyberspace, perhaps, but do not forget who and what we are. / Scott: We are the self proclaimed digerati, the hacker elite. We may not wield the power we once held before the schism, but together both factions have tendrils in many if not almost of the world's digital infrastructure. Governments, banks, utilities, militaries... / Scott: Imagine how dependent we've become on technology and the internet. If we pulled the plug today, governments and economies would fall. Then imagine what we as hackers could do, pooling all these resources into attacks against each other. It could mean a global digital collapse. / Scott: We hold reign on such colossal power and revere you as a goddess, yet you mock us to our faces.
/ Sharon: OK, humble pie served. Check, please. http://www.gpf-comics.com/d/20120425.html |
