World War 3.

Wigu - Case of the Missile Crisis - April 20, 2006 Narrator: SOON / [[Wigu and Andre in front of the Google Maverick and Hugotti Diablo.]] / Andre: So which one of these spaceships is yours, little buddy? / Wigu: The gold one. The other one has the soul of my dead friend stuck in it. / Andre: Well let's cram inside and get the hell out of here before the Army comes back. / Quincy: Who rides in what? / Hugo/Hugotti Diablo: You know tha rules. No dudes. Hoez only. / Wigu: Hugo doesn't allow boys to ride in him. / [[Wigu, Quincy and Andre in the Google Maverick. Wigu piloting.]] / Andre: We've gotta get to someplace safe like... Andre's a psycho. I just wanna go obsessively update my "Myspace" profile. / Romy: We're fugitives now, Paisley. You're gona have to get a new "myspace" account with completely made-up information. / An unseen Romy in the Hugotti Diablo: Maybe you'll like it better in Iceland, Paisley. I think they have a high goth population. / An unseen Paisley in the Hugotti Diablo: I'm not a goth. I am a nihlist. / Narrator: .ICELAND.. / [[Quincy and Romy in Iceland, standing outside and looking around]] / Quincy: Funny. I'd always imagined it'd be... y'know... icy.

Wigu - Case of the Missile Crisis - April 22, 2006 [[Andre, Quincy, Romy, and Paisley, standing around in Iceland, near a structure of some sort.]] / Andre: I'll check us into the hotel as soon as I figure out which one of these counterfeit passports Interpol doesn't already know about. / Quincy: How long's it been since we stayed in a hotel? Five years? / Romy: Are you counting jail? / [[Andre, looking annoyed, and Quincy, looking insecure.]] / Andre: After that we'll discuss the small matter of the seventy-million-dollar, multi-stage rocket you owe me. / Quincy: Gulp! / Narrator: ONE HOUR AND TEN MINUTES LATER / [[Andre, Quincy, and the rest of the Tinkles are seated around a round table with a fashionable candle in the centre. It's my destiny. / Andre: That rocket was my life's work, and I didn't design it to come back. / Andre: I need your little boy's spaceship.
Wigu - Case of the Missile Crisis - April 23, 2006 [[Wigu and Andre in front of a small town Icelandic scene. Wigu looks upset. The round table of yesterday has become the patio table of today!]] / Wigu: You can't take my spaceship! I'm the only person in the world who knows how to fly it! / Andre: That's the tricky part. / [[Quincy, looking upset]] / Quincy: Are you... / [[Quincy standing up at the table, addressing his brother. Paisley looks on in wonderment, or perhaps craving BIER.]] / Quincy: Are you askin' me to let my boy give you a ride to Mars? / Andre: It's perfectly safe! And, well, I can make you a pretty nice offer. / [[Romy wrapping her arms around Wigu protectively.]] / Romy: There's nothing you can offer us to put our son in danger! / Wigu: How much? / Andre: I've got about half a billion dollars in several different international banks. / Quincy: How?! / [[Andre, looking to the horizon, beyond the Icelandic hotel, three Icelandic trees, and an Icelandic white rectangle.]] / Andre: I just happened to know the right buttons to push on the Internet.
Wigu - Case of the Missile Crisis - April 24, 2006 [[Quincy addresses Andre in a charming Icelandic courtyard.]] / Quincy: You're askin' a lot, Andre. We may be in trouble but flyin' to Mars and back is way too dangerous. / Andre: You also hve my personal guarantee that you and your family will never be captured by the authorities. / [[Still seated around the patio table, Romy holding on tightly to Wigu who looks a little uncomfortable.]] / Quincy: How do I know how good your guarantee is? / Andre: Probably better than yours, Mr. Porno - soundtrack - Composer - Because - He - Lost-His - Job - as - a - music - Professor - After - getting - Sued - By - A - female - student. / [[Quincy reaching into a bag, while Andre is turned toward the horizon with his arms crossed.]] / Quincy: Before we say another word, I need to show you something, Mr. I - Graduated - High - School - When - I - was - Ten - years - Old - and - Got - my - Picture - Taken - with - the - President. / Andre: I still haven't recovered from that. / Andre: Emotionally.

Wigu standing free of his mother.]] / Andre: I have to study this. / Wigu: Dad, the Googel Maverick can go to Mars! I know how to make it space-proof! / Quincy: Quiet, you. I'm tryin' to see if we can squeeze some more money out of him.
Wigu - Case of the Missile Crisis - April 26, 2006 Narrator: 8:41 pm / [[Quincy and Romy on an Icelandic hotel bed.]] / Quincy: What are we gonna do, Romy? Should we take Andre's offer? / Romy: Wigu thinks it's safe. And if we don't take it we're gonna spend our lives in prison. / Quincy: Yeah. / Romy: Taking the offer is the only shot we've got at seeing our kids grow up. / [[Andre opens the door to Romy and Quincy's hotel room.]] / Andre: Hey guys, we can talk about the Mars thing later but right now we have to go find Atlantis. / Quincy: What? Why? / Andre: Turn on the TV. / [[The TV shows a woman dressed in a suit jacket and stockings in front of what looks like a series of monitors, and a man in a suit inset in a smaller panel.]] / TV: A horrifying nuclear war that would have killed billions was narrowly avoided today after an American missile was accidentally fired from an abandoned nuclear site. The full story up next, plus we'll tell you how the things you eat can kill you instantly. / Andre: Yeah, we've gotta get out of this hemisphere. / Narrator: NEXT - THE CASE OF ATLANTIS

Wigu - Case of the Missile Crisis - April 27, 2006 [[A night time scene of the crevasse that housed the missile silo that was Andre's secret hideout. Large fluffy clouds float above the crevasse on an otherwise clear night. Eighteen stars shine in the sky, and the pale glow of the moon appears from behind one of the clouds. The missile silo is still faintly smoldering as two black vans, one with a large antennae, drive toward it with their headlights on.]] / Title: THE CASE OF THE MISSILE CRISIS! / Subtitle: A Wigu BOOK / Blurb One: "I've loved Wigu ever since I first laid eyes on it, back in the olden days of the Internet. Jeffrey's drawing speak to me in secret loving whispers." - Bryan Lee O'Malley (Scott Pilgrim, Lost at Sea) / Blurb Two: "Jeffrey Rowland is comics' Drunken Master, and a mere four pages of WIGU could grind Jackie Chan's old bones into powder." - Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan, Planetary)

Case of Atlantis 01 Narrator: Meanwhile, Near the exact center of the Atlantic Ocean... / [[Aboard the Google Maverick]] / Wigu: Dad, how come even though I haven't ate in two days I feel like I'm gonna throw up? / Quincy Tinkle: That's just your stomach trying to digest itself, son. / Andre Tinkle: According to this ancient scroll, we're nearly at the Atlantis site... unfortunately I don't think there'll be a McDonalds' or Pizza Hut there. / Wigu: I'd settle for Eddie Taco's. / Andre Tinkle: Well, what does this little pizza oven do? Doesn't it make pizza? / Wigu: Don't touch that or we'll die! / Wigu: When I designed the Googel Maverick I thought Pizza was made by tiny Italian men. The tiny Italian men didn't agree.
Case of Atlantis 02 [[Wigu, Quincy and Andre are aboard the Googel Maverick, Romy and Paisley are aboard the Hugotti Diablo, both flying over the Atlantic]] / Andre Tinkle: We're here! This is the spot! / Romy Tinkle: Wigu! / Quincy Tinkle: There ain't nothin' here. / Romy Tinkle: Wigu! / Wigu: Mom? / Romy Tinkle: Land that spaceship right now. / Paisley Tinkle: Don't tell him what happened please don't say anything. / Romy Tinkle: [[Over the radio]] Paisley's got her period! / Wigu: There ain't no place to land, Mom! Tell Paisley all we got is question marks! Over. / Romy Tinkle: Wigu, there's a little island over to your right. / Wigu: What the...?

Case of Atlantis 03 [[Everyone has landed on an island in the middle of the Atlantic. Quincy is about to relieve himself.]] / Romy: You know Quincy, that might not be quite as disgusting if you did it in the water. / Quincy: I ain't gettin' my dinger bit off by a sea monster. / Wigu: How come we didn't notice the little island? It's like it came out of nowhere! / Andre: I think we have to entertain the possibility that this is the last remaining trace of Atlantis. / Wigu: I think I keep seein' stuff out of the corner of my eye! / Andre: It's also possible that Atlantis is enshrouded in some sort of cloaking device that utilizes strange, ancient technology. / Paisley: Mom, I need some privacy... and being in here isn't exactly private. / Hugo/Hugotti Diablo: I promise I won't look, girl. / Romy: What about that cave over there?
Case of Atlantis 04 [Romy] ... That cave that wasn't there 30 seconds ago ... / [Quincy] What the crud? / [Wigu] What the heck is goin' on? The island is like twice as big now! / [Andre] ... Just a drop of water in an endless sea ... crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see ... / [Paisley] I'm going into that cave! Please don't walk near the cave or make any loud noises. / [Romy] Okay Paisley but be careful you don't sell your soul to that Devil thing.
Case of Atlantis 05 Floating Goat Monster: Welcome to Atlantis, Family Tinkle! We were beginning to think you'd never show up! / [[Quincy's shirt rips as he flexes his muscles.]] / Quincy: Stay back everyone. I know how to handle floating goat ladies. / Floating Goat Monster: Please Mr. Tinkle! I don't want to hurt you but I can't promise I won't enjoy it. / [[The goat monster effortlessly casts Quincy aside.]] / Quincy: Yeeargh! / Floating Goat Monster: Paisley, you need personal facilities? / Paisley: Y... yes? / Floating Goat Monster: Well you don't want to go in that cave. Trust me. Just go in that library behind you! 2nd floor, take a left at the portrait of King Tut. / [[Paisley stares at the floating goat monster wide eyed, then turns and runs into the library.]]
Case of Atlantis 06 [[Quincy is shouting from waist deep water]] / Quincy: You better tell me what you're up to goat monster! I will figure out a way to kick your ass! / Floating Goat Monster: I don't want to hurt you, Mr. Tinkle. Let me give you a hand and I'll explain all of this. / [[Zoom out to a view of the island. Characters almost indistinguishable.]] / Floating Goat Monster/Art: It's kind of complicated so I'll make it as simple as I can and you can ask questions! My name is Art, and I am from Mars. I've been waiting for you for a looong time. In a few years, Earth will no longer be able to support complex life. It's time to take this party back to Mars! Yeah! / [[Zoom back to view of Andre and Art]] / Andre: You're... you're Baphomet! / Art: That horrible name was given to my people by the back-stabbing ingrates who sought to destroy us and put us in hiding!
Case of Atlantis 07 Quincy: Well, listen... Art... do you know if there's a restaurant or anythin' around here? / <> / [[Romy, Quincy, Wigu, and Andre are suddenly witting at a table with food in front of them]] / Art: Please forgive my bad manners! It's been so long since I entertained! / Wigu: Dad how did the goat monster know I love tacos? / Quincy: Lucky guess? / Art: Everybody set? / <> / Art: Okay, here we go! / [[Art speaks from off panel. Next 2 panels appear to show a flashback of some species about to attain enlightenment while a giant asteroid is headed right for them. Individuals look like text bubbles with faces and stubby arms.]] / Art: Now I don't know if it's coincidence or what... But every single time an intelligent species comes close to enlightenment, there's always some huge cataclysm that wipes them out. Some kinda plague... Ice age... Lava age... Giant asteroid... Galactus...

Case of Atlantis 08 [[Art speaks from off panel through entire strip. Flying elephants fly over the ocean in a rainstorm]] / Art: About 50 million years ago, 15 million years after the dinosaurs got crunched, this new species evolved real fast. Nobody knows what they were called but they were like water-breathing elephants that flew and laid eggs, real weird. And real smart. / [[Two sad looking elephants]] / Art: It only took 'em about five million years to figure out the Secret of Everything and their society was as perfect as carbon-based life can get. One night they went to sleep. But only five of 'em woke up. / [[A spaceship headed away from Earth. Earth is enveloped in a poison gas cloud.]] / Art: According to legend, sometime in the night the Earth passed through a poisonous gas cloud that basically killed every living thing except The Five. And although Earth would heal itself in time, it wouldn't be nearly soon enough. The survivors set a course for Mars.
Case of Atlantis 09 [[Art speaks off panel for entire strip.]] / [[Spaceship heading towards Mars.]] / Art: Mars was a lot nicer back then, but it still wasn't the natural habitat of the Earthlings. They'd die off in a generation if they didn't make a compromise... / [[Flying elephant in a space suit in front of a wriggling Martian life form]] / Art: So they spliced their DNA with whatever was limping or wriggling around on Mars until they made a creature of equal intelligence that could survive... / [[Hybrid goat creature shown floating in a tank]] / Art: Viola - yours truly! And we were left with their history. But you know how history is... after time it gets a little h a z y... / [[Goat creatures livin' it up]] / Art: Eventually, we were thriving. For eons. We were so happy that nobody noticed the place was drying up. / [[Goat creatures dehydrating]] / Art: One day we woke up and there just wasn't water. Anywhere. It's like somebody just pulled the plug on the oceans.
Case of Atlantis 10 [[Art speaks off panel for entire strip]] / [[Dried up Mars and a Tetrahedral spaceship taking off]] / Art: So, a few of us packed up and left for Earth, which by now was healed and had been supporting life for some time. We were determined to do what our creators did. But we messed up. / [[Goat creatures looking at a monkey]] / Art: While our creators mixed their DNA with the simplest organisms on Mars, we mixed ours with the most advanced Earthlings at the time... / [[Angry monkey face]] / Art: Critters that already had violence in them, and hate and fear and lust and greed... / [[Crying baby on floor]] / Art: And what came out when we mixed our gunk with theirs was a very unique creature... / [[Angry humanoids fighting over something]] / Art: A creature that, even though deep down it knew better, was predisposed to screwin' over its own kind. We called 'em Tinkles. / [[Tinkle wielding a board with a nail through it looking tough]] / Art: And as soon as the first ones grew up, the started plottin' against us...
Case of Atlantis 11 [[Art speaks off panel for entire strip]] / [[Tinkles beating the living crap out of each other]] / Art: We retreated to the mountains and watched them beat the living crap out of each other, eventually forming armies and empires,-- any excuse to fight. Then they came after us. / [[Island of Atlantis]] / Art: We relocated to a remote little island and named it Atlantis, after the Atlantic Ocean. There we continued trying to make a new species, but we never did improve on the Tinkles. / [[Cool looking Minotaur]] / Art: We made some pretty cool stuff, though. / [[Good Tinkle reading while Goat creature looks on]] / Art: Sometime's we'd make a good Tinkle, a smart one. And we'd send 'em out to try and teach the others to do right. / [[Three crosses show, the Good Tinkle is assumed crucified]] / Art: For some reason it just never took.
