Special School comic for Tuesday, January 4, 2011 Manny: Wow! I can't believe it! Everything makes perfect sense! And it can never be repeated! / Lori: Oh, don't tease the readers. Kids, you didn't miss anything, we're going to pick up right where we left off. / Manny: Cuh. Fine. / Lori: Okay, then. / Lori: Let's get this show on the road. / [[Lori snaps her fingers.]]
Special School comic for Friday, January 7, 2011 Lori: R... right. Well, look, that's true in a sense, but this is hardly a game. / Lori: Let me start from the beginning. In the - / Manny: Wait, no. / Manny: You said this was important. As in, urgent. You should stick with that instinct. Just give me the bullet points. / Lori: Bullet points. / Manny: Yeah, you know, skip to the end?

Special School comic for Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Lori: Alright, well, much of the backstory is conjecture anyway. / Lori: The pyramid is one of six objects. On their own, they're powerful. Together ... they'd be basically unstoppable. / Manny: Okaaaay. Un-stop-from-whattable? What exactly do they do? / Lori: Oh, now you want to know more. / Manny: I find that I do. / Lori: It's my thing.
Special School comic for Friday, January 14, 2011 Lori: You know the pyramid escapes notice. They all do that to some degree. Beyond that, they have varying properties. Thankfully, the most dangerous one, the 23-sider, is ... out of the equation. But together, the others are no less formidable. / Lori: Most of their abilities relate to the mind in some way. The larger ones have some physical effects, but it's the mental ones that concern me. If someone were to assemble the remaining polyhedra, they'd be able to control a planet's worth of minds. / Manny: Wait, so they don't all turn you into crazy energy people? / Lori: No. I don't think anyone expected that. Nefarius must have tapped the pyramid's power source instead of using it directly. He's always had a way of thinking sideways like that. / Manny: Okay. So if these things are so good at hiding, why the sudden rush to find them? / Lori: Well ... I'm not certain. But I think their original owner may be back in the picture. And aside from anything else, he probably doesn't take too kindly to being tapped into as a power source.
Special School comic for Tuesday, January 18, 2011 Ruby: Hey! Can I have a word? / Karne: Sacramental. / Ruby: Funny. No, I was wondering, what happens if I find the guy who took the name I wanted? / Karne: What do you think would happen? / Ruby: Well, I was thinking we could have a title fight, like we throw down ... in a no holds barred rip-roaring bout for the right to bear the name! / [[Karne looks bored.]] / Karne: Sure. You go find Tina Turner, and that can be a thing. Till then, no.
Special School comic for Friday, January 21, 2011 [[Ruby sits down again with Electro-Cute in the club.]] / Electro-Cute: Well? Did he bite? / Ruby: Nah, just make a pop culture reference and waved me on by. / Electro-Cute: That's our boy. / Electro-Cute: It's not that he obsesses over the name thing, it's more the opposite. Setting up rules would require effort. He doesn't care enough to do that. / Ruby: Well, if there's no rules, what if somebody gave up their name voluntarily? We could, like, fight somewhere else, and then the loser would just ... give it up. / Electro-Cute: Again, you're assuming Karne actually cares. For that matter, you're assuming I care. / Ruby: This is true.
Special School comic for Tuesday, January 25, 2011 Electro-Cute: Seriously though, why you all hung up on the name? You have a great name. / Ruby: You think? It was really a spur-of-the-moment thing. On account of yours was taken. / Electro-Cute: Yeah, but you nailed it. "Capacitrix" - it says capacitor, it says electricity, it says female, there's a risqu? hint of dominatrix ... / Ruby: It says female? / Electro-Cute: Yes, you've correctly conjugated the female form of "capacitor". Without, apparently, realising.

Special School comic for Friday, January 28, 2011 Ruby: Wow. You know, I actually do feel better about it now. Hey, you wanna fight anyway? / Electro-Cute: Wha? / Ruby: Not for the name. Just to see. / Electro-Cute: Hm. Well, there's an idea. Or, and here's another, we could not. / Electro-Cute: I mean, I have a strict policy of only using my powers to fight crime. / Ruby: Oh. / Electro-Cute: Also, this outfit is dry-clean only and you should SEE what they charge it is not even.
Special School comic for Tuesday, February 1, 2011 Manny: Hm. So, how many of these things are there? / Lori: Ooh. At last count .... seven. That's including the pyramid, and the one that's no longer in play. / Manny: And how many of them do you actually know where they are? / Lori: Two. / Manny: And that's two, INCLUDING ... / Lori: Including the pyramid, and the one that's no longer in play, yes.
Special School comic for Friday, February 4, 2011 Lori: Now, I have one or two leads, but for now we're just going to have to - / Manny: Wait, no, wait. / Manny: You actually have no idea. You took me through this whole backstory and you have no idea what to do next. / Lori: That's not true. NEFARIUS still has the pyramid. We need to get that back off of him. Or did you forget? / Manny: Am. Hum. Yes in fact I did.
Special School comic for Tuesday, February 8, 2011 Manny: So, what. You expect me to break into a heavily-defended secret underground lair, face off against the most powerful cosmic being on the planet, and steal his favorite god device. / Manny: And you expect me to do this alone. / Lori: I don't EXPECT anything. It's just a thing that needs to be done, and I'm making you aware of. / Lori: And you hardly need to do any of that. You already know how to get in there, and I really wouldn't recommend "facing off". / Manny: So, just the stealing part. And the ALONE part. / Lori: Don't be silly! You have friends. You just can't tell them what you're doing, or they'll forget. You'll think of something.
