And Shine Heaven Now ~ Hellsing Fancomic Title: AND NOW IT'S TIME TO PAY A VISIT TO... the dojinshi-ka's inbox / Erin: I had a great birthday the other week: congratulations, cards, and cookies from home. / Not only that, though - lots of you took to heart my observation that gifts of a few dollars each can add up to seriously useful money. / Hardly anyone donated more than $5, but I've been asked how far the total will go. It's impressive. / It's enough that, when matched by funds from my parents, I could afford to get serious, professional-quality video software. / The kind that charges ridiculous prices and gets away with it, because it's just that good. / Or I could cover my scan hosting charges for the next six months... / ...AND have enough left to see "Altar Boyz." (I swear, it's research! You KNOW Heinkel and Yumiko are fangirls.) / And of course, on the otaku front, i could use this money to pick up a total of... / ...one Alucard figure. / This has been said before, but it's worth repeating. / Anime: Crack is cheaper.

And Shine Heaven Now ~ Hellsing Fancomic Alucard: Ironing, Police Girl? How quaint. / Seras: Wha? Why shouldn't I? / Alucard: We vampires are above such foolish human conventions such as ironing. / Seras: Easy for you to say, your clothes are attached! / Alucard: Ok, well, say I was wearing that fabulous suit from Volume 3. I still wouldn't need to iron it. / Seras: Sorry, I can't hear you. Your tie is too loud. / Alucard: Clothing is made of many small fibers which are normally straight, but will bend. They usually will retain their origional shap but will sometimes stay permanently bent, hence wrinkles. However, they won't permanently bend unless high amounts of heat are applied. The heat at which fibers stay bent is called the transition temperature; for cotton this is 49 degrees Celsius. (That's 120 degrees Fahrenheit) / Seras: Alright, but who lives where it is 49 degrees Celsius? / Alucard: True, usually it isn't hot enough to permanently bend the fibers, but when moisture in the form of persperation is added, transition temperature is achieved at much lower temperatures. Also, since heat and moisture were required to create wrinkles, they are also required to remove them. Just applying pressure wouldn't help at all, no matter how much you pray. / Anderson: When I leave the knives at home, I meet vampires, and when I leave the umbrella at home it rains. / Alucard: Since the undead don't sweat, they don't need to iron! And isn't that interesting! / Seras: ...and then he talked about detergents for the next hour and a half.

And Shine Heaven Now ~ Hellsing Fancomic A Bisexual Henkel x Yumiko/Yumie Shipper Analyzes Subtext in a Doujinshi When She Should be Doing Homework (but it's such fun, Mummy!) / {{Image is a strip drawn by Erin, with arrows pointing to areas of the comic, and accompanying text describing the subtext}} / {{pointing to "Bisexual Henkel x Yumiko/Yumie Shipper" in title}} This means I have AUTHORITY on the subject. Oh yeah. I AM the authority on the subject. ARE YOU QUESTIONING MY AUTHORITY?!?!! I AM THE AUTHORITY !!! (Oh my Ford I just reminded myself of Philip Pullman and made a "Brave New World" reference.) / Notice how close Yumiko is to Heinkel. And that they both seem to be singing through smiles while Enrico, who is also close to Heinkel (but seemingly not as close as Yumiko) seems to be just singing. CLEARLY evident of the heavy romantic subtexts between the two. / I cannot find any subtext in this one whatsoever! Gasp! *sob* I'm sorry. HxY/Y!!! I have failed you! I must now commit seppuku to restore my honor. But all I have is this spoon... *jabs self in abdomen with spoon* MY APPENDIX!!! / Enrico is conspicuously absent. Could it be Heinkel and Yumie crept off for some "alone time"? (Even though Heinkel went and bought a Narnia box-set). / YOU CANNOT SEE WHAT IS GOING ON! HEINKEL AND YUMIKO MUST BE DOING DIRTY THINGS. BECAUSE IT COULD NO POSSIBLY BE THAT THE DOUJINSHI-KA JUST DIDN'T HAVE ROOM FOR A FULL CIRCLE OR WAS TOO LAZY TO DRAW IT OUT! OMG!@$!%@$!@ / Haha. He said "climax". Hahaha. [insert idiotic, immature laughter here] / Look at her expression. 'Nuff said. IT SPEAKS VOLUMES! I COULD WRITE A FANFIC ABOUT IT!!! I FEEL ONE COMING ON! / {{Erin writes: In today's comic, Satan actually picks up on every single piece of subtext I snuck in. (And a few I didn't, but hey...)}}
And Shine Heaven Now ~ Hellsing Fancomic Seras: Oh no! It's raining! / Alucard: ... / Seras: ? / / Umbrella: Sam's Department Store *heart* / Seras: ew!
