Nerdcore: The Core Wars --- #166: Breaking up (Huge Corporations) is Hard to do[[Gibson is looking at a strange box with colored squares on it. The top of the box is green. A large holographic projection of Sterling hangs above the box, framed in green. Nearby a small holographic window displays a picture of Therin.]]
Gibson: Therin? We've made it to the engine room. Neuton and I have installed Sterling as the Ship's new A.I.
Sterling: Hey! I'm not artificial!
Therin: Great! Can he start plotting a course for the M.I.T. station?
[[In a different ship, Therin, Lucas, and the Hierophant are watching a holographic window displaying an image of Gibson. Therin's eyes are a creepy solid green.]]
Gibson: Yea, I think so. But we're worried about Abraxus and Abraxas. Neuton says they were orbiting a star called Jansky, which according to Gogol starcharts, just imploded into a wyrmhole.
[[Back in the ship with Gibson, the window is now displaying an irate Lucas.]]
Lucas: Stopping Zeke is more important!
Gibson: If we're going to stop an undead demigod we're going to need all the help we can get. Abraxas and Abraxus are two of the most powerful spellcasters we know.
[[Back with Therin, Lucas and the Hierophant. Their window is still showing Gibson.]]
Lucas: But Zeke is almost done loading his A.I. into Nibelheim's net!
Gibson: That's why we need to split the ships back up! The BinStar half can go after Zeke, while the Necronomicorp half can find Abraxas and Abraxus.
The Hierophant: It's not that easy! This was a corporate merger, how are we supposed to undo it?
[[Back with Gibson again. A cyber-zombie possessed by Neuton has joined Gibson. The holographic window is showing Therin again. Next to Sterling in his hologram are the lines: "RUN -9" "TURBOLIFT" "<ENGINEROOM" "<VEHICLEBAY". The last two lines are cut off by the edge of the panel.]]
Neuton: No! I've got it! IT IS EASY! Sterling, can you rout us a turbolift to the vehicle bay?
Gibson: What's in the vehicle bay? Another ship?
[[Gibson and Neuton are in a turbolift. We know it's a turbolift because the back wall says "TURBOLIFT".]]
Neuton: No, but when I was still head of Magitech R&D for Necronomicorp, we developed a prototype of a tank that was totally immune to magic via the power of not believing in it!
[[A huge gray, red and yellow tank, with various weapon like appendages and treads. It has a scary red eye-light that probably bounces back and forth. Neuton and Gibson are off screen. I'm guessing at which one of them is saying what in the next two panels.]]
Neuton: BEHOLD! THE SKEPTIC TANK!
Gibson: That's cool, but how does it help us un-merge the two corporations?
[[The tank is the same colors, but it has transformed into a Gundam-like mobile-suit. It has what looks like a sword and shield.]]
Neuton: It transforms into an anti-trust suit!
