Nigel: Princess Eleanor is your daughter, your majesty.
She turns eleven this year.

King Rael: My... daughter?

King Rael: But...
King Rael: I have none.

Irul Vaka: ....
Nigel: As you say, Sire.
*clink!*

Princess: I... have finished dining.
Princess: May I please be excused?

Nigel: What you may do is spend the afternoon reflecting on the consequences of your little escapade,
such as Lord Calhen's head on a platter, had you not been found.

Irul Vake: I should take my leave of you as well.
Thank you for the hospitality, your majesty, Lord Nigel.
Nigel: Of course.

Hal: (...Just as I thought,
it's much heavier than it looks!!)
Hal: ... a fine blade,
Hal: how did you come across it?

Mirra: I bought it from a traveling merchant who stopped by my village.
Hal: And did he mention where he acquired it?
Mirra: No.
Hal: Interesting.
This blade's one of the Elusives', you can tell from its weight.
Edan: The Elusive's, as in the Cutthroat Elusives?
Hal: The notorious guild of mercenaries who've all but taken over the coastline? Yes, that's who I'm referring to.
I heard they were the ones responsible for that giant mishap up at the fort. When did that happen, over a year ago?
Anyhow, the story was that they were hired to watch over one of Abel's inmates- a dangerous psychopath on death row. No one knows for sure what happened, but somehow the prisoner got loose and went on a killing rampage. Wiped out the entire cellblock, apparently.
Those mercs used to do just about anything for the right price, but ever since that incident their leader's been much more selective about which jobs to take.
Mirra: I don't work for them, if that's what you're implying.
Hal: Not at all, the Elusives brand all of their members- women get marked on the back of the thigh, and I noticed yours were pretty bare when you walked in--
Patty: Did you now?
Edan: Wow... I've been to their place dozens of times, but I've never seen the old girl get so worked up like that.
Too bad the feeling weren't mutual eh?
Alexis: I don't know about that, they both looked as if they felt real guilty for not telling you sooner. About moving away I mean.
Hal: Today the Imperials are a joke. They won't even set foot in the outer circles for fear of what the "locals" might do to 'em. Pack'a sissies.
This place is a dump, and its all because those crooks are allowed to run rampant... no offense to you kid.
Edan: Gee, thanks for the advance warning!
Patty: We're only going as far as Espar! You could come visit us anytime you like!
